17yo QH has been giving the owners a fit for loading and always makes them use 2-3 people to get him in... I showed them some basic ground skills to show him how to move when 'asked' so we don't have to fight. Although the beginning may have 'seemed' harsh, it is a simple lead rope with a leather popper and it never caused him any pain. If he were a 2-3yo he would have got this understood within 3-4 tries, but being 17 he had 17 years of Not knowing how to act to get out of his system.
